Software Engineer - Front End Product Manager - Television VP Product Marketing Software Engineer - Front End

Watercooler Inc. is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. We are a rapidly growing consumer internet company with many millions of users in the media and entertainment space. This position will be responsible for the front-end design and implementation of many features across our web properties. This person has a strong foundation in computer science and consistently comes up with creative solutions and new ideas. We're looking for someone who likes the fun and fast paced environment of a startup and who is excited by the technical challenges of a rapidly growing web company.

Responsibilities

- Design and code new features and enhancements across all our product offerings

- Work closely with server-side engineering and the UI team

- Participate in all aspects of a project life-cycle, from specifications through QA

- Find and fix bugs, optimize scalability and performance, keep up-to-date with the latest relevant technologies

Requirements:

- B.S. in Computer Science or related field from a top tier university

- Strong JavaScript programming and debugging skills (OpenSocial is a plus)

- Strong CSS and cross-browser layout skills

- Excellent problem solving skills

- Driven and self-motivated, a self-starter who can work without needing direct supervision

- Working knowledge of SQL and PHP

- Strong familiarity with Web 2.0 / Social Networking websites.

Summary:

The Product Manager - Television will drive product development throughout the entire product life-cycle. This position will be responsible for all Watercooler television products across Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Friendster, Orkut, Hi5, and the web.

1. Very familiar with the current social networking landscape and passionate about building cutting-edge services on social networking platforms and the web.

3. Experience managing consumer Internet products.

3. Familiarity with American television and culture.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive Television product strategy across platforms in the rapidly changing social networking space.

2. Improve and optimize existing television community and gaming product lines, and launch new products.

3. Carry forward the product design and release process: working with interaction designer to design and spec new products, and with engineering to test and release.

4. Bake "marketing" programs into products from inception via new platforms-specific marketing channels.

5. Work with media partners to implement programs.

Requirements:

1. 1-3 years of professional experience at successful Internet companies in a product role

2. "Gets" working in an early stage start-up environment

3. Strong quantitative abilities (statistics, engineering, or financial academic background preferred)

4. Highly referenceable background with track record of impressive successes

Summary:

The VP of Product Marketing will develop and oversee world class product marketing programs to increase overall user growth, engagement, retention and monetization. In addition, this position will oversee new monetization and advertising programs across the Watercooler product platform, corporate communications, marketing, and privacy policy. The VP of Product Marketing will complement the Product Management group -- Product Management will champion the user value proposition, and Product Marketing will have the mandate of increasing enterprise value.

Responsibilities:

1. Overall responsibility for the vision, strategy, and execution of:
-- Retention, user acquisition, engagement and all user communication programs
-- Aligning monetization and advertising programs with product strategy

2. Own and manage the company's analytics platform and manage to executive KPI's, making sound business decisions with appropriate use of data

3. Create the company's CRM strategy, using email and other channels to re-engage users

4. Own corporate communications, public relations and marketing

5. Work closely with Product Management, Sales and Business Development to ensure business goals are aligned with product strategy

6. Build and manage a team to execute Product Marketing mandates

Requirements:

1. 5-10 years of professional experience at successful Internet companies in Internet marketing and product roles

2. "Gets" working in an early stage start-up environment

3. Strong ability to oversee and execute marketing and monetization programs

4. Highly referenceable background with track record of impressive successes

5. Academic background from a top-tier university
